Winter Nature Snowshoe Safari (private)

Experience the serene beauty of Pilpasuo Nature Reserve in Oulu. Feel time slow down as you glide on snowshoes across the deep, untouched snow.The experience begins at the Nallikari Experience Center (Nallikarinranta 10) or your accommodation in Oulu. Participants will be provided with thermal clothing before your group is transported by car or bus to Pilpasuo, approximately a 30-minute drive from Nallikari. On location, snowshoes and poles will be provided, and participants will be shown how to use the equipment. This is a relaxing and enjoyable winter adventure, designed for everyone to take part in. The route will be tailored to your group’s pace and wishes, ensuring that each participant can fully enjoy the pure Finnish winter nature and breathe in the world’s cleanest air. The guided walk leads you through a snow-covered forest and out onto the open expanse of the Pilpasuo Nature Reserve. While crossing the area, you’ll experience some of the most beautiful winter landscapes in the Oulu region. Pilpasuo feels timeless, shaped on an ancient 3,000-year-old seashore meadow. One of the highlights of the experience is a break at a campfire, in true Finnish style. You’ll sit around the open fire, surrounded by the beauty of nature, enjoying hot beverages and breathing in the pure, crisp air – while hearing fascinating stories about Finnish nature from your guide.
