Guided Village Sauna - Sauna Experience With the Locals

This Village Sauna is a truly authentic sauna experience together with the locals! Linnakallio’s public sauna sessions are visited by dozens of people from the area. The smoke sauna is open for public twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. year-round. The guided Village Sauna is ideal for solo travelers or small groups.

Linnakallio’s smoke sauna offers a timeless Finnish sauna experience in the heart of nature, surrounded by a private forest area. The sauna is heated slowly over several hours, allowing the smoke to fill the room and gently warm the large stone stove. Once the heating is complete, the smoke is let out and the sauna is ready.

Just a few steps from the sauna, a clear forest pond awaits. Swimming in the cool, natural water is a bliss! In winter, the experience becomes unforgettable. With water temperatures around +2°C, even a brief dip in the icy pond leaves you feeling energized. Your host will gently guide you through this new experience.

Some practical information: The Village Sauna is open for public and visited by locals and travelers alike. There are separate dressing rooms for men and women, while the sauna itself and the outdoor cooling areas are shared. Swimwear is required. Please note that there are no showers. A small amount of washing water is provided, and swimming in the forest pond is the primary way to cool off and rinse. There is an outdoor toilet available near the sauna area.

– 55 € per person + cost of a minivan (up to 8 persons)
– 125 € for one person only.
– Price includes smoke sauna experience with a sauna guide (provided by Kalajoki 360°), swimming in the forest pond and introduction to the cold dip in Winter, towels, non-alcoholic sauna drinks, pick up and transport from accommodation (in Kalajoki) for groups up to 4 persons. The transportation is included in the duration.
