Iso-Pahkala – Nordic Ceramics since 1972
Welcome to Iso-Pahkala Ceramics – a family tradition since 1972. Iso-Pahkala Ceramics is a family-owned company based in Kalajoki, Finland. Our collection includes functional everyday pottery, as well as unique and artistic pieces that bring a touch of celebration to everyday life.
The breathtaking nature of Kalajoki and Finland has been an endless source of inspiration for three generations of our family. You can find elements of the sea, wind-swept grasses, and the golden sands of Kalajoki reflected in the design and aesthetic of our products.
We take great pride in the purity of the raw materials we use. Our ceramics are fired at a high temperature of 1300°C in a gas-powered flame kiln, giving each piece its high-quality finish and unique character.
In our on-site sales exhibition, you’ll find a wide selection of handcrafted pottery, gift items, corporate gifts, and unique art pieces. Our production studio is located right next to the exhibition space, allowing visitors to experience the craftsmanship up close. We also invite you to relax at Seili, our charming maritime-themed summer café.
Our ceramics workshop is a versatile and welcoming stop for individual travelers and groups. We can arrange group visits that include a delicious salmon soup lunch or a coffee break. Seili Café offers seating for 80 guests, with an additional terrace available during the summer. For group appointmens please contact us in advance.
We are conveniently located right off Highway 8. We’re just 3 km from the center of Kalajoki and 5 km from the famous Kalajoki Sand Dunes. Our parking area has ample space, even for larger vehicles.
