We are excited to announce that Nallikari Seaside Oy (Nallikari By the Sea) has joined our Visit Arctic Coast value network, representing coastal destinations and resorts.
Nallikari, an island destination just a stone’s throw from the vibrant city of Oulu, captivates visitors with its long sandy beaches, diverse seasonal landscapes, and a wide range of activities enabled by the marine environment. At Nallikari, international guests can immerse themselves in the modern coastal lifestyle while enjoying high-quality accommodation options. Through this collaboration, Visit Arctic Coast expands its portfolio of maritime destinations for international markets, with Nallikari offering a unique blend of nature and urban holiday experiences. Sustainability is at the heart of Nallikari’s operations, and Nallikari By the Sea was the first company in Oulu to receive the STF Sustainable Travel Finland label. It also holds the Green Key certification. The inclusion of Nallikari Seaside Oy strengthens the Visit Arctic Coast value network’s shared vision of developing sustainable coastal tourism. This collaboration allows Nallikari to connect with international B2B partners in our target markets. Customer-oriented product development and marketing will highlight the region’s maritime and arctic coastal nature, as well as its cultural heritage, as key attractions.
Nallikari offers surprises year-round. Visitors can experience the changing seasons through a variety of activities. In winter, the destination shines with northern lights tours and a snow sculpting competition at the Snowfest event. Visitors can enjoy snowshoeing and in summer kayaking and cycling to discover new perspectives of Nallikari and Oulu, while families have fun at Vauhtipuisto fairground and Winter Village. The new Nallikari Aalto apartments offer extended stays with sea views, and nearby restaurants serve delicious culinary experiences. Sauna and wellness services ensure a restful night’s sleep.
“We are delighted to welcome Nallikari Seaside Oy and their stylishly crafted, internationally appealing service package as a new partner. Our marketing collaboration enhances the diversity of the Visit Arctic Coast concept, and we see numerous synergistic opportunities for the joint development of maritime tourism services,” says Janne Anttila, CEO of Kalajoen Hiekkasärkät Oy, the company behind the Visit Arctic Coast brand.
”I believe in the power of collaboration, and with this unique Arctic coastal partnership network, we can more comprehensively showcase our wonderful offerings to international travelers, both in the summer under the midnight sun and in the winter by the frozen sea,” says Sirpa Walter, CEO of Nallikari Seaside Oy.
