Wool Sock Walk & Ice Cream – A Tranquil Experience in Finnish Winter Landscape

A wool sock walk offers a delightful and unhurried moment for yourself amidst Finland’s winter scenery. Instead of shoes, put on three pairs of wool socks and join us for a walk through snowy fields and into the snow-covered forest.

The wool socks provide excellent protection from the cold while giving your feet a new kind of movement. With wool socks on, you can tread softly along trails and in deep snow. We’ll enjoy the quiet, peaceful pace, the beautiful scenery, and the crisp winter air on our cheeks. It’s a moment of calm presence, where your mind can truly rest.

The walk covers a few kilometers, taking you through the fields and forest areas of Savola’s organic farm. Depending on the ice situation we also go walk on a frozen lake!

After the walk, it’s time to enjoy warm mulled wine (non-alcoholic) – and ice cream! Using snow and frost, we’ll create a delicious ice cream treat. The combination of warm, forest-flavored mulled wine and cold snow ice cream is an exotic finish to our winter wool sock walk.

We are Krista and Hanna from Lappajärvi – the region known as Impact Crater Lake UNESCO Geopark. We cherish nature’s beauty and diversity, making every day perfect for exploring. Join us in discovering the wonders of our surroundings, where peace and adventure await!
